Review : Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place-Make Up Foundation

Lately, I got this Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation from Estee Lauder. This foundation is one of best seller product from Estee Lauder, and there's so many review says that this foundation is AWESOME. So thanks to Estee Lauder Indonesia who give me chance to try this famous foundation.

I got the picture above from the official website of Estee Lauder ( www.esteelauder.com ). They claim that the foundation will last up to 15 hours, flawless all day - through heat and humidity and nonstop activities and non-transferable. So basically you don't have to worried when you working at outdoor, and using light color dress or tops, and you live in tropic area.

The formula itself are oil free, dermatologist tested, non-acnegenic and fragrance free.

Now lets take a look closely start from the outside to inside :)

The packaging box are made from cardboard and navy color. Then they use gold color for the letter. I think this colors choice make the box looks classy (as same as inside the box, of course). The write down the ingredients, the manufacture date, and direction on the box. 

Then, for bottle packaging inside the box, made from thick glass bottle. We can open and closed the bottle cap by twisting the caps. Ow, and there's an expired date on the bottle so we dont have to worry if we lost the cardbox. I got my shade in 1W2 Sand. Well, actually I hope I got darker shade, such as pebble or wheat, but this color is actually ok.

Why I say its ok?

First time I swatch it in my hand, its different faaar from my skin tone. It's a little bit yellowish, and my skin tone are darker than the foundation color. But my mistake, when I rubbing the foundation, its matching my skin perfectly :). When I go to the official website, I can see why. They have about 31 kinds of shade, so the different between each shade aren't too far. So if - in case - you don't get your shade you can still find the closest one.

Then, how about the coverage? Lets take a look below..

I take only a drop of this foundation to try the coverage. Well, I'm usually using only bb cream because I think foundation is more heavier than bb cream. And when I'm using foundation, I just using it minimal. But surprisingly, by only using a drop of the foundation can give me this result. The coverage is perfect!

see my pimples there? it's just camouflaged by only a drop of this foundation to all my face.

and also works for the dark spot and redness on my face. It's camouflaged!

And far from what I think before about foundation, it is lighter than other foundation I have before. I believe if I'm using a little bit more, my face will more flawless (just as the web says, it's create a flawless look).

Well, these are picture I've taken yesterday when I accompany my kids to the swimming pool. I'm start using it at 1.00 PM and finished at 6.30 PM (about 5,5 hours).

 

Ignoring the eyebrow which starting to disapear, but my face is still not oily. And, for your information, my son splatter my face with water when I take his picture, and all my face and tops are wet. So still amazing how the foundation still stay after all the messiness. 

In summary, here's my thought about Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup Foundation

1. The packaging (card-box and bottle) are exclusive and classy. I like the combination between navy and gold.

2. The lightweight formula 

3. Many variant of shades

4. The coverage is good

5. Long lasting wear (never try for 15 hours at this moment. but for 5 hours it's still great).

6. Pricey enough

7. I'm not really like liquid form of foundation, because I always (accidentally) nudging up to spill a bottle (it happens on my serum, my toner etc - ouch), so I hope there's a solid forms version of this foundation.
